2024, what is your style goal?

Did you watch the Grammys?

In addition to Taylor Swift making history with 4 Grammys for Album of the Year, Oprah talked about the legend Tina Turner. (Sidetone: my husband saw her in concert and I am so envious) Oprah and Tina were good friends. Oprah recalled something Tina said to her, which resonated with me: “She used to say to me, ‘Oprah, you should dress up for dinner, even if no one else is there. Just so you feel beautiful to you. For yourself.’”

WOW. I have a closet full of beautiful clothes that I hardly wear, except for Mass on Sunday. I also work from home, so sweatpants and sweatshirts rule the day. The statement reminded me that when I dress better, I feel more confident. So, why the heck not? Going to run errands, going to pick up a kid from school, bookstores, the mall, grocery shopping, Target, post office, UPS drop-off, walking the dog, as nonsensical and pointless as it sounds, as Tina says:  Just so you feel beautiful to you, for yourself.

Even if the outfit stays on for only 1-hour, boost those endorphins and join me.

Here are a few outfits of mine, that I feel so great in, and yes, they are thrifted. Only the shoes are new, not because I don’t thrift shoes, I couldn’t find the ones I was looking for out there in the thrift world.

Join me for a 7-day Fashion Style-Up because you are beautiful and worth it.
